Magic Monday's: LA's Must-See Bi-Monthly Magic Show Returns in 2026
Not sure what fits your event? Take the 35-second quiz
Magic Monday's, the beloved bi-monthly magic show co-produced by Scott Syme and Katie Cazorla, is back in 2026 at a brand new venue in Studio City. Here's everything you need to know.
Magic Monday's is coming back, and it's going to be better than ever. Co-produced by Scott Syme of White Rabbit and Katie Cazorla, Magic Monday's originally built a devoted following at the Kookaburra Lounge in Hollywood, located at Ovation, right behind the world-famous TCL Chinese Theatre and the Dolby Theatre where the Oscars are held, and just down the street from the legendary Magic Castle®. When the Kookaburra closed in 2025, the bi-monthly show went on hiatus. In 2026, Magic Monday's returns at The Starlight Cabaret, a brand new venue from the same ownership in Studio City, in a space that promises to elevate the experience to an entirely new level.
What made Magic Monday's special from the beginning was its format: a curated lineup of top magicians and performers, rotating bi-monthly, in an intimate setting where every seat was a front-row seat. The show attracted some of the best talent in magic, comedy, and entertainment. Comedians like Adam Ray, Craig Robinson, Tiffany Haddish, and Dean Delray shared the stage with an incredible roster of magicians including Jackson Ridd, Nader Hanna, HUBB, Taylor Hughes, Kyle Marlett, Connor Mac, Michael Rayner, Franco Pascali, Day Mori, Jer Bear, Nelson Lee, Frankie Foti, Will Coile, Nick Paul, Blake Vogt, Alex Kazam, Miss Direction, Greg Van Holsbeck, Carlos Suarez, and David Stryker. Scott Syme hosted and performed throughout the run. From close-up card artists and mentalists to A-list comedians and variety performers, every show brought something unexpected. It was never the same show twice, and that unpredictability was part of the magic.

The Kookaburra Lounge was the perfect incubator for Magic Monday's. Nestled in the heart of Hollywood's most iconic block, Katie Cazorla's venue had an energy that was equal parts neighborhood bar and underground cabaret, and that combination created an atmosphere where magic thrived. Audiences came for the performances and stayed for the community. Regulars became friends, performers became family, and Monday nights in Hollywood became something people planned their schedules around.
When the Kookaburra closed its doors in 2025, the Magic Monday's community felt the loss. But Scott and Katie always knew the show would return.
When the Kookaburra closed its doors in 2025, the Magic Monday's community felt the loss. But Scott and Katie always knew the show would return. The Starlight Cabaret, the new venue from the same ownership team, is purpose-built for exactly the kind of intimate, high-energy entertainment that Magic Monday's delivers. The new space in Studio City offers better sightlines, upgraded production, and a setting that honors the spirit of what made the Kookaburra special while pushing the experience forward.

The 2026 return of Magic Monday's at The Starlight Cabaret is more than a relaunch. It's an evolution. The rotating lineup will continue to feature top magicians from Los Angeles and beyond, alongside variety performers, comedians, mentalists, and surprise guests. The show remains accessible and fun, without the dress code or membership requirements of more formal magic venues. It's the kind of evening where you can show up in jeans, have a great cocktail, and see world-class magic performed inches from your face.

For Scott Syme, Magic Monday's represents something deeply personal. It's where the White Rabbit philosophy comes to life in a public setting: intimate, surprising, and built around genuine human connection. Every performer who takes the Magic Monday's stage understands that the goal isn't just to fool the audience. It's to create a shared moment of wonder that people carry with them long after the night is over.
